The Montana Mining Association scholarship is funded through gifts to the association. It was established to ensure professionals are available for the mineral industry of tomorrow.
Two scholarships of $1,000 ($500 for Fall and $500 for Spring semester) are available.

Qualifications:
The applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Montana Resident
- Attend Montana Tech
- Major in one of the following: Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Geophysical Engineering.
- Have a Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Be enrolled in at least five (5) classes which must include a math and science class.
Requirements:
- Submit the completed application
- Submit a letter of recommendation
- Submit a transcript showing:
- (If currently attending MT Tech) Montana University System transcript including cumulative GPA, number of credits attempted, number of credits completed.
- (If enrolling in first semester at MT Tech) Units of credits taken, class rank, cumulative GPA, and number of graduates from applicant's graduating class.
